Why bother with the email at all…

…when CNN is going to give  you all the promotion you ever wanted?  The latest from the Obama propaganda network is to relay the campaign’s messages to the masses for them–for free.  This time it is for some creepy cult meeting in case any of the drooling obot zombies need to be re-dosed with the kool aid.

Obama campaign manager David Plouffe sent the president-elect’s campaign supporters an e-mail this week calling on them to gather for house meetings on December 13 and 14 to organize their support for the president-elect’s agenda, more than a month before he’s sworn in.

“You can connect with fellow supporters, make progress on the issues you care about, and help shape the future of your community and our country,” wrote Plouffe. “Learn what you can do now to support President-elect Obama’s agenda for change and continue to make a difference in your community.”

They even have a picture of the actual email in the post.  And just so that the ozombies don’t have to do any real thinking for themselves, they’ve planned the “party” down to the minute:

The sample schedule is divided into discrete time segments: the suggested time frame for “Welcome from Host” is five minutes, with a bulleted breakdown of what this welcome should include. Supporters are encouraged to plan service events, develop partnerships with local organizations, schools and churches – and reach out to local media outlets.

And that last sentence is really what its all about isn’t it?  turning every last person that you can into a tiny little Obama propaganda mill.  That and turning every name and address that you can get over to the campaign so they can try to squeeze every last penny from them–hey they might even toss you a mug. 

A sign-in sheet is included to record the names and contact information of all attendees, with instructions to upload the contents to the Web site or mail it in for addition to the massive database of campaign contact info.

What a wonderful way to spend the holidays after you’ve just found out you lost your job.  Don’t go overboard though.  We wouldn’t want a pesky thing like oversight going on, especially from the FEC

The message contains a link to Obama’s Web site, where supporters can list their event and access a swarm of documents and suggestions, including a host guide; a “Plan for Change Form” to guide discussion; and more than a dozen flyers plugging Obama’s stands on the issues, along with a directive to limit flyers for any event to 500 or fewer to avoid having to register with the Federal Election Commission.

Why don’t they just declare a holiday so that we can at least get the day off?  Oh wait….

In central Alabama’s Perry County, government workers already get a day off for President’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, and Veterans Day. In 2009, they’ll get one more: “Barack Obama Day.”

The rural county, which overwhelmingly supported Obama in last month’s presidential election, has approved the second Monday in November as “The Barack Obama Day.” Commissioners passed a measure that would close county offices for the new annual holiday and its roughly 40 workers will get a paid day off.

I wonder how many of them will be sending that holiday pay to Obama…
